Water levels to rise

April 3, 2008 · 2 Comments

Isn’t this alarming? Looks like Summer 2008 will be as crappy as 2007 with all the threats-as-results-of-climate-change looming.

Sorry guys, I did say I’d shut up and treat the whole ’Global warming’ phenomena as a farce, but nope I dont think it is, I’m going back to my old stance on it. Why? Because we know that this ‘cold weather’ as opposed to global ‘warming’ is simply down to the fact that its going to get colder (due to the ice melting) before it gets hotter.

So chop chop, petrolheads, use unleaded, and recycle alright?

Below is one example of how bad our carelessness will make things, one of the major threats is water levels rising considerably, due to the ice caps melting, hence flooding, around the East of the world, from Kolkata, India to Miami in USA, where USA & India will probably have the means to support their people, developing countries like Bangladesh (below), will be hit the worst.

The 3 major pollution-causing countries are (surprise, surprise) USA, India and China. They need to get off their fat-asses (or emaciated skinny-asses) and do something.

”Dakha is the capital of Bangladesh and has a population of 11 million. It lies on the eastern banks of the Buriganga River and on the lower reaches of the Ganges Delta.
At present 844,000 people are exposed to flooding. By 2070, it is estimated to reach 11.1 million.” Source: Virginmedia.com

True Zohair, in this report, there was no mention of Karachi, (it was India eastwards), but we all know how bad it was last year, sorry a bit ignorant of me to have left it out.
